Why You Should Go to College

Thursday, October 29th, 2009
The idea behind college that a lot of senior high school graduates don’t grasp is that college isn’t a simple extension of any prior education. To attend college isn’t just a step up on the educational ladder, like elementary school to junior high school to senior high school. What sets college apart is the very concept of it: it’s a crossroads to something else, a limbo of not only education, but exploration as well. Experience college as a winding roadmap destination: to know wherever it all leads to is beside the point. All the fun to be had is in getting there.
You should go to college to meet people. What sets them apart from the kind of folk you’d meet in, say, a bar or a shopping center lies in their interests. College campuses come loaded with behavioral presets; certain people take certain classes, and so on. Discover a niche and follow it along. It mayhap a passionate interest, or merely a passing one. Very few institutions will offer such benefits, especially from such a collective of varied minds and hearts. Take risks, get out of your way, and establish new modes of how to approach a situation. Explore new surroundings with the desire to conquer.
Network. Regardless of what plans may lay in the future, network with those whose own interests spark a common connection. This can create a goldmine of later opportunity and potential. The reality of the real life is inscribed in stone: nobody ever got anyplace on their own. Help those that help you, and vice versa.

What Is Normal Sexuality in Marriage?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Everybody wonders about this. Do our friends “do it” more often than we do? Does anybody else have this problem in which one partner has high desire, and the other one has little to none? We must be really weird. Everybody wants sex, don’t they?

The answer is no. Not really. More 40 million Americans feel stuck in low-sex or no sex marriages. Research studies tell us that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men reported little to no sexual desire. Sometime in a marriage more 50% of couples experience one or both partners with little to no sexual desire.

Desire problems are the most frequent complaint of couples entering sex therapy. They’re also often the unspoken charge of couples entering relationship therapy.

Afresh system that lets teachers get immediate feedback and real-time accountability for all students in the classroom is getting high grades. The wireless response system was created by a provider of computerised assessment and progress-monitoring tools for pre-K-12 schools. It provides teachers with comprehensive real-time data in an easy-to-read graphical format so they can optimize their lessons and deliver individualised instruction.

“We just recently started using the Renaissance Classroom Response System and already are seeing a difference. The immediate feedback we receive is such a great way to gauge the progress of each student, and helps me determine the lessons I need to review,” said Dawn Deher, English professor, Milford (Delaware) senior high school. “My students’ enthusiasm and engagement in class has increased substantially. Several of my students have said to me that they wished they had the Responder available to them in their other classes because they see how it helps them in the learning process.” (more…)

practicing. The only solution to use your garage as a music
studio is to soundproof it or build a small studio in one corner of
the garage. For this you need to use two existing garage walls
