Organized garage

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

The garage is that one place where we all seem to love to be disorganized, however the sooner you get organized, the sooner you can make better use of that space. Organizing your garage can be a tiresome task for many householders. When you think about organizing your garage you should keep in mind that this activity means to find a designated place for everything while keeping your goods available for everyday use. The following five steps compromise a simple system for garage organization.

1. Sort your garage items.

First of all sort and categorize all the items in your garage, for this you should empty your garage and start sorting everything into categories. Separate the tools from sporting equipment, electric tools, etc. You’ll realize how much stuff you’ve and only then you’ll be able to determine the best ways to
organize and store everything.  Misplaced items in your garage should be returned to their proper place. Also you should sort the things that should be in the garage from the things that should actually be in the basement, attic or better, sold at a garage sale. 2 Secrets To A Better Future

Monday, July 20th, 2009

Stop for just a 2nd, have a look around you and ask yourself if these is the quality of life you were hoping for. Whenever you answered “No”, then my question to you is “why not?” “What are you doing to change your life?” Most people who have been asked what they’ve done to change their lives say “it’s no use because…..” And then it goes…. excuses.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. The 1st step in getting out of the rut is to stop making excuses and assume responsibility for the quality of your life. You can change your life situation today. How do I know? I know because others have done it. There will always be obstructions, but none that can’t be overcome. The only requirement is the desire to change. Mark Twain once said “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight; it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” If your “prefer to” is strong enough, you can achieve almost anything you set your mind to.

The 2nd step to getting out of the rut is step out in faith and, as the Nike commercial says, “Just do it”. There has no time like the present to change course. You might not succeed the first time, but you must keep trying. Success will go with persistence. Remember the old saying “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” Don’t worry about making a mistake. Einstein once said “anybody who’s never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”

So step out. Take chances, and as William Durant, the founder of General Motors said “Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you’re going to do now and do it.”

You Can Bank On It.

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

Most U.S. citizens walk into, get online to, or drive up to their bank several times every week and hand over their hard earned dollars. Why do they do it? How many other strangers would they trust to hold their savings, and return the money and additional funds back to them at any point in time? What makes banks safe, and how do we know they’re?

Well, the first indication that you’re money’s in a safe place is the placard that greets you at the door – Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This federal U.S. agency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, typically protects up to $hundred thousand of your deposited funds from loss. Established in the 1930’s, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation became a way to curtail the runs on banks that occurred directly after the Great Depression. By 1934, with the initiation and support of the FDIC legislation bank runs had been reduced by nearly 4000.

In addition to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation protection, banks also invite supplemental banking insurance from private carriers. This insurance is set up to protect investors’ funds from vandalism and bank robberies. (more…)
